This is another Sonic the Hedgehog inspired drawing from aspiring artist ASP. It features two characters named Silver and Blaze. Those familiar with the Sonic Universe likely know more about these characters than I (Ms. ME) do. The piece is titled Prom Night. Enjoy and tell us what you think.
Currently ASP is working on possible logos, headers and cover page art for ECV so expect to see some options and vote on those in the near future.
Who am I?
Today’s not a good day for me to write much to answer that question. Let me keep it very short & visual. You can make up your own mind who I am from what I’ve done.
Got a degree in business focusing on finance, then worked at an insurance company while retailing personal care products and clearing up my own skin to look like this…
Unfortunately last year some weird, mystery skin ailment started attacking my melanin afflicting me with light spots so…
Why am I here?
I’m here because PR strategist Amber Brown of AB Creative Design & Communications recommended WordPress over my previous blogging platform for expanding my readership. As usual, she was right!
What topics do you think you’ll write about?
I’ll write about fashion, cosmetics and personal care (obviously based on the cosmetology background pictured), money (business & finance education + personal experience), and various health & fitness items because I can’t get enough of that stuff. And probably music since it was my first and only love & passion. And other arts…
Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
Anyone interested in what I’m blogging about, anyone blogging about something interesting…
If you blog successfully throughout 2014, what would you hope to have accomplished?
The overarching brand of ECV has to be firmly established. The products currently in the development stage will hit the market and be publicized via the blog and other channels.
And I promise not so many selfies after this post but it was supposed to be about Ms. ME
[First a disclaimer: this post is a little off-topic from the rest of the blog. However my day job relates to this and I’ve been so frustrated lately I needed to speak on it. The idea has crossed my mind of opening a private school under the overarching business brand ECV so I guess it’s not too off-topic, but that idea isn’t likely to come to fruition…]
There are so many reports in the US about the education system being broken. Every time you turn around someone else is complaining or upset that America has fallen below another country in some education or graduation ranking. Then enter the pundits with their endless speculations and suggestions despite some of them having no internal experience in education outside the 16+ years they spent earning their own education some 2 or 3 decades ago. And with all the endless chatter and constant political interference things rarely get better. Here are just a few reasons why it’s broken from a current insider. For a few years now I’ve heard about this place but never actually went. Maybe because it’s on the other side of town and I tend to be a lazy slob when it comes to driving across the county. Strange because I just drove to VA and back. Maybe that’s why I stopped coming up with excuses and went Saturday night.
If I wanted an excuse to not go, I could have easily used the cage escape by a lioness at a similar facility in Spring Hill Friday that someone so thoughtfully sent me a text about. But I didn’t even though I was going at night.
The Catty Shack Ranch is home to a lot of big cats, such as multiple tigers, black panthers, cougars, and lions. This is a picture of one of the first tigers you see when you enter.
Tiger “cub” Monterey – He is one of a litter of three that came at the beginning of 2013. I really wish I had visited then when the volunteers could still get closer to them. At any rate Monterey is camera friendly.
Hoped to get a good roar out of one of the lions but the best we got has that guttural grunt half roar when they’re defensively hovering over a kill (chicken quarters in this case). Has anyone else ever visited this or another wildlife sanctuary and had anything exciting happen?
Another drawing from aspiring artist ASP. This is a cat inspired by a kitten she saw approximately three years ago and another Sonic character named Blaze.
Honey the cat
A little information about the artist: ASP is 11 years-old and has been drawing since the age of 4. She has yet to have any formal art training although options are being explored since her departure from ballet classes.
